A bit more about Quilo

MeSide

My name is Sam Marks, a 30 year old web designer from England. I’ve been creating websites for quite some time now and have a wide range of skills and experience to match.

Quilo is a creative mini agency run by Sam Marks, a 30 year old Freelance web designer from Leigh-on-Sea Essex, near London in the UK. I've been designing for over 9 years starting as a junior eventually working up to head of design at a web design agency based just outside London. I left my position back in October 2008 and set up in a small studio in my village.

I specialise in general interface design, CSS and HTML hand coded builds. In addition I work on a lot of corporate branding and print work, examples of which can also be seen in my portfolio. I have worked on various types of clientel ranging from large blue chip companies through to small local business during my time at previous employers and in my present role.

You'll see from my portfolio that not only do I design but I also build sites as well as create print work.

I've experience in W3C compliancy, full browser compatibility although I have to confess my dislike for IE (but thats a subject Im sure I'll cover in one of my blogs).

If you would like to get in touch for what ever reason please do so using the contact form .

Testimonal

Here's a testimonal from Justin Long, a freelance developer based in the states.

When I commissioned Sam to develop my online identity I was very excited about what my new site and logo were going to look like. Sam was able to take the random hodgepodge of ideas that I had floating around in my head and deliver a bold site that matches my personality perfectly. One that has also taken my business to the next level and allowed me to reach clients that I would not of been able to reach before. Through out the entire process he offered clear quick communication even during the busyness of the holidays. Being a Freelance Developer I know about the pressures of deadlines and revisions and Sam was able to deliver a month ahead of schedule with all of my revisions taken care of. I look forward to working with Sam again in the future on personal and client projects.

Check out the visuals here whilst Justin builds his new site.

Wallpaper
A friend of mine Warren asked mentioned to me that he liked the wallpapers over at Rapidweaver so I took it upon myself as a challenge to try to re-create that look. Hopefully I've got pretty close, anyhow Ive uploaded it so you can download as a wallpaper....should you wish? If there is any demand I may create a tutorial showing how I created this...
